PRACTICAL MOVING-DAY HINTS

BEDDING AND BLANKETS:
Pack in large cartons.  Do not fold mattresses.  Our men will dismantle beds and set them up at your destination.

BOOKS - RECORDS - HEAVY ITEMS SUCH AS CANNED GOODS:
Use small cartons for all heavy items as packing heavy items in large cartons makes the move more difficult.

CHINA AND GLASSWARE:
Protect each piece with paper.  Crumple paper to make a nest at least 6 inches thick in the bottom of the box, use crumpled paper as a nest between each tier in the carton, (pack in strong cartons or dishpacks) . Stand plates and bowls on end and pack stemware vertically.

CLOTHING - IN DRESSERS AND CLOSETS:
If dresser is heavy or if it's fragile, it is best to empty before moving.  Hanging clothes should be left in closets, we provide wardrobes at no charge at time of the move.

DESKS - BUFFETS - CHINA CLOSETS CABINETS - BOOKCASES:
All of these must be emptied.

JEWELRY - SILVERWARE - VALUABLES IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS:
Plan to take both flat silver and all hollowware in addition to all important documents and Jewelry with you.

MIRRORS AND PICTURES - GLASS AND/OR MARBLE TABLE TOPS:
Leave mirrors and pictures hanging unless they are small enough to fit in a box (pack vertically).  Leave marble and glass table tops for us to handle.

REFRIGERATORS - WASHERS - DRYERS - STOVES:
Refrigerators must be emptied before moving.  We're capable of disconnecting and re-connecting all the above (gas stoves connected by the Gas Co.) unless any special parts are required.

TELEVISIONS - STEREO'S - VCR'S - ETC.:
All stereo equipment and VCR's must be packed before we will put on our truck.  If you do not have the material, we will pack for you. Do not pack TV's and large speakers, we'll handle for you.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE - ALL CARTONS SHOULD BE SEALED TOP AND BOTTOM WITH TAPE, IN ORDER TO BE STACKED AND DOLLIED QUICKLY.  OPEN TOP CONTAINERS TAKE TIME, AND REMEMBER, -'TIME IS MONEY-'.  MARK EACH CARTON WITH THE ROOM IT'S GOING TO PLUS A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTENTS.
